We have a constant supply of picnic baskets from the Eastern Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal and anywhere else we can get our hands on them!
The Eastern Cape baskets are made from a tough, strong cane. Found near Port St Johns these baskets are best known for their gorgeous picnic and storage basket designs. The Kwa-Zulu Natal baskets are made from palm leaf wound around long stalks of veld grass and are mostly used these days as decorative table or wall elements. Each of them is created with a beautiful geometric pattern of dyed palm within the weave.
